Whiskers, Wings & Other Things (WOTT) is a licensed and insured, professional pet-sitting and house-sitting service that has been in operation since 1996.

WWOT came to us knowing the importance of having a high-end website that would differentiate them as a professional company in an industry known for "mom & pop" operations. We were excited to add a piece to our portfolio with milkbones as navigational buttons!

The Design

After one look at the WWOT logo we identified an opportunity to get "cute’ and creative. Luckily, Leslie — the owner of WWOT — expressed that she wanted a site that was vibrant and fun. To accomplish this, we used a few pet-related symbols such as milk-bones and paw-prints . The navigation consists of randomly placed 3 dimensional milk-bones which break up the boxy structure and adds some depth. We bumped up the "cuteness" factor by incorporating imagery of puppies, kittens and other pets throughout the site. Since each page would have supplementary copy we decided on a two column approach to effectively communicate their message.

The Features

The WWOT site, although very graphical, is web standard-compliant and easy loading. It includes a PHP driven booking mechanism that will identify a viewer as a new or repeat client. Once identified it displays the proper form and processing functionality. The site also incorporates an employment application.
